Welcome!
My name is Andrea and I am the vocal and performance tutor at MELODIQUE on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I have 10 yrs professional performance experience, 7 yrs vocal training and 2 yrs teaching experience. I also have my NSW 'Working with Children Check'.
All ages and stages are welcome. You can participate in lessons at the studio or via Skype. Discount packages are available for multiple bookings, group lessons and families. Sing just for fun or prepare for a performance.
Your lessons are tailored to you and your goals, and may include a selection of the following:
** VOCAL TECHNIQUE: Breath control, Soft Palate Control, Projection, Diction, Phrasing, etc. This involves a combination of breathing exercises, singing scales, and singing songs.
** CONFIDENCE BUILDING: Private and personalized lessons, allowing you to improve at your own pace. Enjoy patient, positive and honest feedback.
** STYLE DEVELOPMENT: Learn songs of any genre and develop your personal singing style.
** VOCAL RANGE DEVELOPMENT: Learn correct technique and vocal exercises to increase your range.
** PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE: Learn how to sing into a microphone, move on stage, and captivate an audience.
** SONG INTERPRETATION: Learn to understand, relate to and express the lyrics of a song.
** IN-STUDIO PERFORMANCES: Push through performance nerves by doing short performances here in the studio for your tutor, friends and family.
** The ‘One Hit Wonder’: Learn to interpret, sing and perform a single song for a special occasion.
** The 'Showcase Set': Learn 3 songs: a ballad, an up-tempo piece, and "something different". This set can be used for auditions, talent quests, short demos... etc.
** The ’Professional Set': Develop a 40 minute set list for performance (approx. 10 songs).
** RECORD A DEMO: Prepare 1-3 songs for a professional demo. (*Additional costs apply***)
** IMAGE DEVELOPMENT: Discuss and experiment with your stage image; including hair, make-up, wardrobe, genre and performance style choices.
